Liang Bridge
See those stone lions in the pictures? These squatting creatures are the most conscientious guards of this bridge.
The Liang Bridge is a covered bridge with four piers and five spans, with timber columns, timber beams and a roof covered with flat stone tiles. The piers are in the shape of stone walls with lions squatting on top. It is said that these creatures with a fierce look stare right at the flowing river so that it dares not turn into floods. It is the most famous architectural landmark in Longhua Ancient Town. During the Lunar New Year or when holding fairs, people in the town gather besides the bridge, which is a famous scenic site and a place for the locals to enjoy.
