Jiancao Bridge
Built in the late Qing Dynasty, Jiancao Bridge is a timber covered bridge with diagonal supporting members. Its gallery house is supported by columns. Under the columns there are wooden benches and guardrails. There are pavilion houses on either end of the bridge, topped with overhanging gable roof covered by grey tiles.
This is an ancient covered bridge with a plain look, but has irreplaceable values to the local people. Since Jiancao Township is a collecting and distributing center of rural and urban trades, dozens of horses carrying various goods cross the bridge every day.
