Mount Sanqingshan National Park

On July 6th, 2008, Mount Sanqingshan National Park, located to the northeast of Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, was inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List during the 32nd session of World Heritage Committee. It is also designated as a national key scenic spot, a grade AAAA national tourist area, a national natural heritage and a national geo-park.

The scenic area covers 229.5 square kilometers. Among the numerous peaks, Yujing Peak, with an elevation of 1819.9 meters, is the highest peak in Mount Sanqingshan. Apart from that, there are also thousands of streams pouring into pools, ancient trees growing thick with rare birds and animals flying and creeping among them. It is one of the most diversified ecological environment in East Asia, providing home for 2,373 species of higher plant and 1,728 species of wild animals.

If you pay a visit here, you’ll have the chance to see meteorological phenomena such as Cloud Sea, Cloud Waterfall, Sanqing Divine Light, Five Colors Road in the Clouds and Meteor Showers.
