China TV Golden Eagle Award

The China TV Golden Eagle Award, often referred to as the "Golden Eagle Awards," is a major television award ceremony held annually in China. The China TV Golden Eagle Award is a television award approved by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and jointly hosted by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the China Television Artists Association. 

Established in 1987, the Golden Eagle Awards are not only a testament to the creativity and hard work of Chinese television professionals but also a reflection of the evolving tastes and preferences of the Chinese audience.

It recognizes excellence in Chinese television programming, honoring outstanding works in various categories such as dramas, documentaries, variety shows, and animated series. The award ceremony is attended by top industry professionals, renowned actors, directors, and producers, making it a highlight of the Chinese entertainment calendar.

The Golden Eagle Award is a permanent national television art award selected through a combination of expert reviews, votes from members of the China Television Artists Association, and audience polling. Its predecessor was the "Golden Eagle Award of Mass TV". In 1998, it was renamed the "China TV Golden Eagle Award" at the 16th ceremony. In 2000, the 18th ceremony marked its upgrade to the "China Golden Eagle Television Art Festival," with the award ceremony held in Changsha, Hunan Province. From 2005 onwards, the Golden Eagle Award has been held biennially.

The 32nd China Television Golden Eagle Awards is a television-related award hosted by the China Federation of Literature and Art Circles and the China Television Artists Association. On September 13, 2024, the second round of online voting for the 32nd China Television Golden Eagle Awards was officially start.

In recent years, the Golden Eagle Awards have also embraced technological advancements, incorporating online voting and streaming platforms to engage a younger, more tech-savvy audience. This has not only broadened the reach of the awards but also ensured that they remain relevant and representative of the modern television landscape.
