Confucius valued time
Is it true that if you sleep during the day, you will be criticized by Confucius?
From the age of 15, Confucius was determined to study hard. Throughout his life, he continued to pursue knowledge. ln his youth, apart from earning a living, he mainly concentrated his efforts on seeking out knowledge. He said that studying was like running after knowledge. He was afraid that he would not be able to catch up or memorize well enough, and thus it would escape his mastery. He paid great attention to time. Seeing a running river, he would associate with the elapse of time. Zai Yu, one of his disciples, slept in the daytime; Confucius criticized him as a piece of decayed wood that could not be carved.
So it's true that he would criticize you! But only because he valued time so much.
