Mural Depicting the Construction of the Jo-khang Temple

Princess Wen Cheng, skilled in astrology and well-versed in Fengshui, offered her help when Srongbtsan-sgam-po’s consort, a pious Buddhist, intended to build a Buddhist temple. She proposed that it would bring fortune by filling the pool with the earth and rocks carried by one thousand white goats from a mountain in the northern suburb of Lhasa.
