Four hundred eighty temples built during the previous dynasties still stand;

Many chambers and terraces look lost in the misty rain of spring scenery.

Du was a Tang Dynasty writer and is regarded by later generations as a versatile writer who mastered essays as well as all the genres of poetry existing in his time.
