Author: Lin Bu (967—1028)

Autumn mountains reach out endlessly;

Autumn thoughts also know no boundaries.

A teal creek carries away red leaves;

White clouds dot an evergreen forest in a series.

Lin was a Song Dynasty hermit who studied classics on his own. For the love of freedom, he turned down the opportunity to become an official and stayed single for life.

In this poem, the author showed his fondness of the charm of Sky Cave Palace as he depicted a fine and vivid picture of autumn here. When reading the poem, our thoughts about autumn just drift like the leaves in the running creek, peacefully and endlessly.
