The East Lake Dialogue for Sino-European Entrepreneurs was held in Wuhan on March 20th. Representatives from more than 100 renowned corporations and institutions in China and Europe, including Total Energies of France, Port of Marseilles, Knorr-Bremse of Germany, CHI Group, Yangtze River Investment Group, Hubei Airport Group, Dongfeng Motor Corporation and China Center for International Economic Exchanges, gathered together to talk and cooperate.

Chen Ping, Vice Governor of Hubei Province, Ning Jizhe, Vice Chairman of China Center for International Economic Exchanges, Berjan Sinisa, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to China, and other guests attended the event and delivered speeches. Representatives of some well-known European multinational corporations delivered keynote speeches. Wuchang District and Caidian District of Wuhan introduced local opportunities for cooperation with Europe and their business environment, looking forward to in-depth cooperation with European-funded corporations. Wuhan Sino-German Automobile Exchange Center was unveiled, and the Office of Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee signed the letter of intent for friendly exchanges and cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Bosnia and Herzegovina.


The " East Lake Dialogue for Sino-European Entrepreneurs" is a new platform for exchanges and cooperation with Europe created by Hubei Province, which enhances the two-way economic and trade exchanges between Hubei and Europe to advance Hubei’s high-level opening up. This activity, themed "Promoting the Docking of Advantageous Industries of China and Europe and Promoting New Quality Productivity Forces", aims to promote the cooperation between Hubei and European industrial chain and supply chain, and promote more high-quality European corporations to know about Hubei and give preference to Hubei when investing.


On the same day, Hubei International Brand Week was held, a local brand week jointly organized by the Beijing International Brand Week Organizing Committee and the Department of Commerce of Hubei Province. This brand is a large-scale annual brand event jointly sponsored by the China International Public Relations Association, China Chamber of International Commerce and Beijing Design Week Organizing Committee. It has brought together numerous well-known brand management, research and communication institutions, and brand corporations at home and abroad, committing to building an international service platform for brand communication, exchange, cooperation and innovation.

In recent years, Hubei province has attached great importance to developing economic and trade relations with Europe, and the cooperation between the two sides in many important industries such as high-end manufacturing, scientific and technological innovation services and green environmental protection has been deepening. At present, 325 of the Fortune 500 companies have located themselves in Hubei, ranking first in central China. A total of 714 European-funded corporations have been set up in Hubei province. International industrial parks such as Sino-German Industrial Park and Sino-French Wuhan Ecological Demonstration City are speeding up the building, and European multinational corporations such as Siemens, Webasto and EDF have come and settled down in Hubei province. Hubei province has become a preferred place of destination for European corporations to invest in China.


This event was hosted by the People's Government of Hubei Province, and jointly organized by the Department of Commerce of Hubei Province, Office of Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee and the Beijing International Brand Week Organizing Committee.
