Bo'ri Bridge
This bridge looks quite different from other covered bridges. You might notice the sharp contrast between its thick, round piers and narrow, wooden body.
It is a timber cantilever arch-beam bridge composed of combined wooden beams. A Tibetan architectural master completed the design of the structure and built this bridge out of religious purposes. It is said that everyone who crosses the bridge can hear the loud sound of the Dharma horn leading them to the holy shore, and can feel their footsteps echoing to their heartbeat. The Bori Bridge is also called “the Tibetan Kham Area’s Number One Bridge” and is listed as a cultural relic protected at the national level.
