The China Golden Rooster & Hundred Flowers Film Festival

Established in 1992, the China Golden Rooster & Hundred Flowers Film Festival, also known as the Golden Rooster Awards, is one of the most prestigious film festivals in China. It is held annually in a different city in China and serves as a platform to celebrate the achievements of Chinese filmmakers and actors, as well as to promote the development of Chinese cinema.

The festival was formed by unifying the China Film Golden Rooster Awards (established in 1981) and the Hundred Flowers Awards (established in 1962) in 1992, with the aim of promoting the prosperity and development of China's film industry.

The festival takes its name from the iconic symbol of China's film industry – the Golden Rooster, which represents the vitality and prosperity of Chinese cinema. Alongside the Golden Rooster, the festival also features the Hundred Flowers Award, which recognizes excellence in various categories of filmmaking, including best film, best director, best actor, and best actress, among others.

The China Golden Rooster & Hundred Flowers Film Festival features two major awards: the Golden Rooster Award (also known as the China Film Golden Rooster Award) and the Hundred Flowers Award (also known as the Mass Film Hundred Flowers Award).

The 32nd China Golden Rooster & Hundred Flowers Film Festival, as a prestigious event in the Chinese film industry, held in the city of Xiamen, Fujian Province.
