New art center's inaugural show a salute to Chinese expressionism

A highly expressive manner has been essential to the Chinese art tradition of which great artists in history always looked to present such a style to express their true identity and views on the world affairs.
These days, the principle is still at the heart of artists' work, no matter they work with the style of Chinese painting or oil paintings, or other forms of fine arts.

Expression of China, an exhibition to open the Lidu International Art Center in Beijing, teams up six artists of repute who have, in their career spanning decades, created distinctive approach to reinterpret the expressionist spirit.
Some of them are focusing to expand the presentation of the semiabstract style of Chinese painting, some have given Chinese landscape painting a new look by reinforcing its spirituality with highly saturated colors, and others seek to accentuate the poetic atmosphere of ink art.
The exhibition runs until March 1.
