lt is well known that there was a luminary named “Kongzi" or Confucius in China, but his life story is seldom recognized by the world. But thanks to the work of historians and researchers, we do know some stories about Confucius' life. And there's no better place to start than his birth family.

Confucius' father was a distinguished general, but throughout his life he was no more than a middle-level official. What's worse, his wife and concubines only gave him one crippled son. He then married a young girl no more than 20 years old when he himself was over 60.

After the marriage, they still did not have a child after a long time. Therefore, the couple went to pray for a son at a place near Niqiu Hill. Around 551 BC, they received the long hoped-for son. The boy was none other than Confucius, who would influence China for over 2,000 years.
