By Feb 17, the film had raked in a staggering 12 billion RMB (equivalent to approximately $1.66 billion), securing a spot among the top 10 highest-grossing movies globally. In just nine days after its release, "Ne Zha 2" smashed through the 60 billion RMB mark in box office revenue.

The unprecedented success of the film and its associated products underscores the increasing commercial significance of homegrown animated intellectual properties (IPs) in China.
